Face to face The benefit of talking face to face is that you can see each others body language which is very important when communicating effectively. Another benefit of communicating face to face is that you tell the way in which someone is talking by their facial expressions. A disadvantage of talking face to face is that you may wish to hide your facial expressions if you are annoyed or angry but you can't.

Mobile phone An advantage of using a mobile phone to communicate is that you can use it whenever you need or want to and don't need to make arrangements to go and meet people. The drawbacks to using a mobile phone is that it always needs battery, you could lose signal and it costs money.

Email A benefit for using email is that it is quick and efficient to use. The drawbacks to using email are that there may be no internet use or computer and also you cannot tell what tone of voice the other person is using so the message could be read in the wrong context.
