Compare online encyclopaedias

The encarta version of an encyclopaedia was simple to use as you typed what you wanted to find out into the search bar at the top of the page. When you typed it in it came up with the page you wanted straight away. The presentation of the page is pretty good as it did have pictures aswell as writing.

The Britannica version of an encyclopaedia was okay to use but once you had typed in what you wanted to search you had to click on something else to get the exact thing you wanted to find out about. The presentation of this encyclopaedia could have been better as it is just a big chuck of writing which is very boring to read.

The Hutchingson encyclopaedia was very good to use and when you typed in what you wanted to search it came up with a few definitions and not just one. It also had a translation of the word at the bottom. The layout of this was easy to understand as it had headings.

The purpose of each of these encyclopaedias is to be able to find out about a topic online.
