Ebay is a shopping site. Ebay's major purpose is to allow people to sell items to make money. Ebay is a site in which people can buy or bid for items in which they would like so you can shop online. The products that are sold can be either new or second hand.

Ebay history
The online auction website was founded as AuctionWeb in San Jose, California, on September 3, 1995, by French-born Iranian computer programmer Pierre Omidyar.

Ebay's system
There are two ways in which you can by a product from ebay. One is the "Buy It Now" system where you can just buy the item, the same as you would do if you went on to amazon. The second is the auction system. Auctions are where you can bid for an item and the person with the highest bid gets the item, of course paying the price at which they bid at. There is a minimum bid and a time limit.

Target audience
The target audience for ebay are people who wish to purchase items online and also people and businesses who look to sell the items.
